2024 Volunteer Requirements

2025 Volunteer Deposits:

***New for 2025*** Volunteer deposits will be $250 per child, increasing by $100 per child, max of $450 per family.

(EX: 1 child = $250 deposit, 2 children = $350 deposit, 3+ children = $450 deposit)

We will not be handing out uniforms if we haven't received your volunteer check.

2025 Volunteer Requirements:

Families will be responsible for fulfilling the following hours based on how many kids in the family are playing spring/summer ball:

  • 1 player - 6 hours per family
  • 2 players - 8 hours per family
  • 3+ players - 10 hours per family
Here are volunteer jobs that count for hours:
  • ***New for 2025*** Up to 3 coaches per team will get full volunteer credit.  If a team has more than 3 coaches, they can split 24 hours of volunteer time as they wish, but this needs to be communicated to the volunteer coordinator.
  • ***New for 2025*** We will NOT have designated team parents this season and this is not a role that will count for volunteer hours.
  • At least 2 shifts (4 hours) working in the concession stand (families who only have tball players do not need to work in the concession stand, but can if they wish)
  • Field prep = ½ hour (must arrive and complete ½ hour prior to team warm-up start, coaches to communicate expectation)
  • Practice help - time spent = time logged
  •  Scorebook/Game Changer = 1 hour credit per game
  • Dugout parent for tball ONLY - 1 hour credit per game
  • Fish Fry desserts (ONLY for FCYSO night at St. John’s Fish Fry) = 1 hour per dessert (2 max) + additional credit for hours helping at the FCYSO Fish Fry night (extra hours will not be given for children who are helping)
  • FCYSO Board member = 8 hours
  • FCYSO Sports director = 8 hours
  • Corporate Sponsor = 8 hours for all of the following levels:

  ***Sponsorship Levels (New Levels for 2025)
 1. White Level - $500
 2. Black Level - $1000

Concession Stand Credit Hour Disclaimer

  • We strongly encourage parents to sign up for concession hours that fit their schedules!
  • Families may trade their time with another family if assigned day does not work.
  • Families can work concession during their children’s game schedule if they prefer. 
  • Families are responsible for filling or trading their time to fit their schedules.
  • Concession Hours can be filled by any family member such as parent, grandparent, guardian, etc.
  • Any family that has not voluntarily signed up for concession stands will be randomly assigned to a time slot.
  • Families assigned to timeslots will be properly notified in advance of their scheduled concession.
  • This is meant to be flexible, and we strongly encourage parents to communicate with our volunteer coordinator/FCYSO if they are having troubles completing their required hours.
  • Concession NO-SHOWS will automatically lose their volunteer deposit!
  • If there is a rain out and your game isn't rescheduled, you do not have to make up the hours. If the game is rescheduled, you are expected to fulfill your hours.
